After some prayerful reflection, I am convinced that this is just what is need to get Orthodox Christians out into the mission field in a big way. Too many Orthodox Christians simply take our faith for granted and don’t seem to realize that we are all of us called to witness to Christ.

Hi Father Gregory,
Found your blog quite by accident and have found some of the insights you offer useful. I got a kick out of this video and I think it is very important to get young people fired up about their Orthodox faith and the importance of sharing that faith with others. Although laughed while watching the video, it reminded me of the “in your face” approach some sects have to evangelization. I think as Orthodox Christians the process of evangelization should start in our homes by teaching our children about their Orthodox faith and creating a faith atmosphere in the home. We can introduce others to Orthodox Christianity by inviting them to our worship services but more importantly by the example we set by living a truly Orthodox life. Young people especially are searching for answers in this crazy mixed up world and most only need a gentle nudge, although I’ll concede occasionally a linebacker may be required.
